'THE SULTAN'S CORNER' ARABIC DOLLHOUSE BEDROOM SET

Here's for some serious Arabic dollhouse glamour! Sumptuous textiles and gorgeous lighting combine in this exotic miniature bedroom set. I have used many different types and colours of embroidered and gold embellished fabrics - because a bit of constraint moorish decadence in a contemporary manner always works, even in dollhouse dimensions! 

The bedding set for this dollhouse bedroom includes six cushions in rich velvet, silk, brocade and embroidered sari fabric as well as a square bedcover in satin, brocade and indian sari fabrics. The lace centrepiece is embroidered with glass beads and tiny tassels embellished with pearls decorate each corner.
At 30cm diameter, the floor to ceiling canopy creates an intimate hide away, which is big enough to take a large double bed, but I simply added a quilt and cushions for an authentic eastern feel. For the large canopy I used glorious antique Indian sari fabric, which has heavy gold metal thread embroidery on its very delicate sheer base. The canopy ceiling uses velvet and brocade and the entire structure is held up by a Grand Cascade Chandelier. Two elegant Cascade Pendants on either side finish off this bedroom design and give it just that right touch of opulence.
