dollhouse wiring instructions
All my lights are supplied ready to install.
They use super long lasting LEDs and include electric cable (but no plugs).
Before you install it, connect the light to your power supply, switch it on and confirm it is working.
You will find a wealth of information and youtube videos available online on how to safely wire your dollhouse, but here are some simple basic wiring instructions:
CHANDELIERS & CEILING LIGHTS
-
First paint or paper the ceiling of the room you are fitting the light in, then drill a small hole where the light is to be installed.
-
In the room above, make a small groove running from the hole to the back of the room.
-
You can finish the final part of the groove with a drill while you make a hole in the rear wall of the house.
-
Pass the wire through the ceiling hole and fix it with adhesive tape to keep the chandelier flush against the ceiling, then pass the wire along the groove in the floor and out through the hole in the back wall. Put a couple of extra adhesive tapes along the floor.
-
You can now connect the wire to your 12V mains or battery power supply.
-
Cover the floor of the room above with carpet or other floor covering to conceal the wiring.
WALL LIGHTS

-
Decorate the wall first, then drill a hole for the wire to pass through.
-
Pass the wire through the wall, fix the lamp in place and connect to your 12V mains or battery power supply.
-
Alternatively, using a similar technique to the one above, drill a hole through the wall where the light is to be situated, then on the reverse of that wall cut a groove from the hole to the back of the house. Don't decorate the other side of the wall until the wiring has been completed.
